Job Description

Our organization requires a Technical Writer II to create and review technical documentation. This will enable users to install and use our software effectively.

The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders across the organization to plan, write, and peer-review effective content.

  • Apply user-oriented writing concepts to explain complex concepts and processes clearly and effectively.
  • Contribute to style and writing guidelines, ensuring their continued improvement.
  • Create understandable, accurate, clear, and concise content using easily understood terminology.
  • Determine the best format to present information and support customer success.
  • Work with product management and the documentation manager to assess customer needs, project scope, risk, and resources.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure proposed deliverables satisfy business requirements.
  • Work with contacts at our partners to meet standards and publish content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical writing.
  • High level of competency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical writing and editing skills, including explaining complex concepts clearly.
  • Organize and present technical material for various audiences.
  • Review others' work and provide feedback.
  • Verify and test documentation against specifications and operation.
  • Complete assignments and meet deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Adapt work methods in response to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
  • Acquire new technical skills quickly.
