Job Title: Business Services Administrator - Parole Board Secretariat

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Business Services Team at Parole Board Queensland. As a Business Services Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the team and contribute to the efficient operation of the Parole Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Administration: Provide advice on financial activities, including end of month accruals, journals, budget submissions, and financial reporting.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Coordinate business continuity planning to ensure 24/7 operations and risk identification and management.
  • Rostering and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop rosters and engage with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Human Resources: Provide advice on human resources matters, including recruitment and selection, staff appointments, and establishment and workforce management.
  • Facilities and IT: Support the coordination of services, including facilities, information technology, and work health and safety requirements.
  • Budget and Business Requirements: Assist with submissions for budget and other business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Competencies: Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and experiences against the Leadership competencies for Queensland (Individual Contributor): Vision, Results, and Accountability.
  • Strategic Knowledge: Sound knowledge of current strategic issues pertaining to the direction of the Board and QCS within a complex criminal justice sector environment.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral, including demonstrated ability to participate in and support liaison, consultation, and negotiation with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a high-performing team, showing initiative and applying planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to identify problems and progress activities.
