About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Gough Recruitment AU. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team responsible for optimizing the presentation, functionality, and success of a premium shopping centre asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with in-centre contractors to consistently meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Cultivate Collaborative Partnerships: Foster collaborative partnerships with contractors and essential stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Establish and Maintain Connections: Establish and maintain positive connections with various teams within the organization to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure Adherence to Budget and Forecasting Targets: Ensure adherence to budget and forecasting targets within specified timeframes to drive business growth.
  • Oversee Compliance and Reporting Requirements: Oversee compliance and reporting requirements to meet set deadlines and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and Oversee Services: Manage and oversee services within the shopping centre region, including OHS&E, Risk Management, Building Compliance, and Essential Services.
  • Plan and Execute Repair, Maintenance, and Upgrading Works: Plan and execute repair, maintenance, and upgrading works to meet customer and retailer requirements.
  • Develop Long-Term Operations Management Plan: Develop a plan for operations management at the Centre over the long term to drive business growth and success.
  • Identify Opportunities for Enhancement: Identify opportunities to enhance the property through capital expenditures and drive business growth.
  • Engage Contractors and Direct Their Activities: Engage contractors to carry out projects and direct their activities to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience in Facilities Management: Extensive experience in facilities management within the retail, property, or associated industry.
  • High-Level Communication Skills and Financial Acumen: High-level communication skills and financial acumen to drive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Data Creation and Interpretation: Demonstrated proficiency in data creation and interpretation with a high level of accuracy to drive business decisions.
  • Proven Capability to Contribute to Manual Labour Tasks: Proven capability to contribute to manual labour tasks to drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to drive business outcomes.
