The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process activities on water and wastewater projects across the planning, feasibility, design, and delivery stages.
  • The successful candidate will support the Design Manager or Project Manager on larger water infrastructure projects, working across multi-disciplinary teams and geographies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for significant and complex activities or projects, including predicting and planning future resources.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of others by providing guidance, training, motivation, and direction to staff.
  • Taking a longer-term strategic view of the business and contributing to the development plan of Arup.
  • Setting budgets and negotiating agreements with customers and suppliers to achieve financial targets.
  • Representing Arup at internal and external meetings, events, and conferences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, preferably in Chemical/Process Engineering or a similar area.
  • Relevant industry experience in Process Engineering in the water and wastewater sector within a consulting business environment.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • The ability to effectively manage clients, influence, differentiate, and develop market opportunities, as well as act in a mentor capacity to motivate junior team members.
