Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Waste Collector to join our team in Brisbane.

This role involves supporting the delivery of on-time service to a range of customers generating clinical wastes. This includes both bulk waste removal and container exchange.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Cleaning industry or related industry experience;
  • Previous medical/sharps waste collection experience highly regarded;
  • Truck Licence (MR or higher preferred);
  • Ability to work to a planned, time-based work schedule;
  • Ability to work largely unsupervised;
  • General maintenance skills;
  • Confident and professional people skills and presentation;
  • Appreciation for high quality standards with ability to assess from customer perspective;
  • Basic computer skills;

In addition, you will need:

  • Full Australian driver's licence;
  • The ability to work independently to achieve set targets;
  • Ability to communicate to internal stakeholders and clients both orally and in writing;
  • Manage, maintain and build upon client relationships;
  • Cleaning or related industry experience;

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

What You Will Do

As a Medical Waste Collector, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and disposing of medical waste from clients' premises;
  • Operating company vehicles safely and efficiently;
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders;
  • Maintaining accurate records of collections and disposal activities;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of cleaning industry principles and practices;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications.
