About the Role

UGL is seeking an experienced Transmission Linesman to join our Utilities division, supporting our Genex Project. The project is based in North Queensland and will be based on a FIFO 19/9 Roster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climbing of Transmission Structures
  • Upgrade and Construction of New and Existing Assets
  • Study and Interpret Technical Drawings, Network Line Diagrams, and Maps
  • Liaise with Network Operator Inspectors and Customers
  • Complete Comprehensive Risk Assessments
  • Maintain Work in Progress Plans
  • Installing and Maintaining Conductors, Aerial Equipment, and Underground Cables
  • Installing and Maintaining All Associated Electrical Supply Equipment
  • Attending to Electrical Breakdowns and Emergencies
  • Adhering to Site-Specific Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Requirements
  • Experience Working on Transmission Lines
  • Trade Certificate (Certificate 3 Transmission Linesman) - Desirable
  • Construction White Card
  • Work at Heights
  • Tower Rescue
  • EWP
  • Dogging and Rigging Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence
  • First Aid and CPR Trained (Desirable)
