Working in a scenic and dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to manage various waterway assets and terrestrial parcels. The Waterways District is responsible for maintaining the navigable sections of the Yarra and Maribyrnong Rivers.

About the Role

This role involves providing effective implementation of park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor services, local port and waterway management, commercial operations, community engagement, stakeholder management, and emergency response.

We aim to be a world-class parks service ensuring healthy parks for healthy people. Our expanding estate covers over 4 million hectares, representing about 17% of Victoria.

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent experience
  • Coxswains Grade 1, Grade 2, or Grade 3 Near Coastal Certificate of Competency (Desirable)
  • Experience in self-management and supervisory skills
  • Customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
