Job Title: Casual Hours Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our Estates and Facilities team. As a Casual Hours Driver, you will be responsible for transporting staff, students, and others as required.

The role involves driving college vehicles on various trips throughout the week, including some early morning, evening, and weekend assignments. You may also be requested to collect, transport, and deliver items and materials using the College van or electric mail van.

As a driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of passengers at all times. This includes conducting regular checks and visual inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy prior to use.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a full, clean UK driving licence with D1 endorsement. A D1+E drivers licence is highly desirable. Proven experience of driving mini buses is essential, and you will be required to complete MIDAS training.

You should also demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Self-motivation, independence, and basic IT literacy are also essential qualities for this position.
