This position plays a key part in maximizing the value of investments within Australia and internationally. Reporting to a senior manager, you will provide technical expertise in evaluating battery minerals acquisitions, ensuring sound governance at an operational level, and conducting monthly forecasting and reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical input on current Joint Venture Coal Projects, and potential Coal and Battery Minerals Projects;
  • Ensuring technical excellence in project assessments and implementation;
  • Contributing to the enhancement of knowledge base in mining operations;
  • Travel required based on project needs.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in senior mining engineer or similar roles;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering/Geology/Metallurgy or related degree;
  • Exposure to battery minerals (e.g. lithium, copper, nickel), as a primary focus;
  • Understanding of downstream processing of non-ferrous metals;
  • Operational experience in large scale surface and/or underground operations;
  • Experience in mining project evaluation;
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial knowledge.
