Job Overview

The Senior Data Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and governing the overall architecture of the enterprise data platform. This position ensures that data solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with both technical standards and business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder collaboration skills to drive the development of end-to-end data architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption across various use cases.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing enterprise data platforms using open source tools preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies for private and public clouds, including storage, compute, and data processing services.
  • Proficiency in data modelling (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) and big data architectures (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake).
  • Experience implementing data governance, cataloguing, and security best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to articulate complex designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
