Job Overview

This is a part-time opportunity for a MERIT Case Manager to provide assessment and case management services to individuals with drug and alcohol issues, appearing before the Local MERIT Court.

The successful candidate will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve lifestyle and health outcomes for these individuals, reducing re-offending and promoting positive change.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist, or equivalent social work experience.

A high level of knowledge and experience in holistic treatment and prevention approaches, including screening, assessment, brief intervention, withdrawal management, treatment planning, discharge planning, referral, group work and community follow-up is essential.

The selected candidate will be expected to have strong communication skills, including advanced written and oral communication and competent computer skills.
