About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our Engineering Solutions team at AusNet Services Ltd. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing and providing cost estimates for our major projects, working closely with Engineering Solutions, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide accurate cost estimates for major projects, adhering to company standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Solutions, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Provide technical engineering and cost advice to the team and broader department.
  • Review technical requirements, identify risks, and allocate budget for high-level design projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication among project and program stakeholders.
  • Manage and review the production of estimations from project initiation to close-out.
  • Communicate estimation status to the Estimation Lead and Group Lead.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in civil, electrical, transmission, and/or distribution industry.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously, with proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Considerable knowledge of other engineering disciplines and their impacts on civil, structural design, and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, build, and grow relationships and business partnerships.
  • Understanding of key customer and stakeholder needs and requirements.
  • High level of organisational skills, effectively handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of various Australian standards.
  • Knowledge of Expert Estimation software preferred.
