About the Role:

You'll provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, helping with meal preparation and shopping, and providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities. Your day will be filled with purpose, as you make a real difference in the lives of our customers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Domestic Assistance: Ensuring the homes of older people are safe and comfortable places to live.
  • Assisting customers with meal preparation and shopping, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities, enhancing their quality of life.
  • Personal care, including getting them up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support, creating a sense of security and peace of mind.
  • Social support and transport to appointments, ensuring they receive the care they need.
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized skills and compassion.

What We Look for in a Care Worker:

  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including personal care skills.
  • A passion for assisting our aged community, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritizing the needs of your customers.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days – Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
  • Comfort working independently, finding solutions to everyday problems, and knowing when to ask for help.
