Role Overview:

The Highly Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist role at CHD Rehabilitation Services involves working within a multidisciplinary team to achieve rehabilitation outcomes for individuals with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of assessment and interventions, including complex postural management, ADL rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, community reintegration, and complex discharge planning.

The post holder will also lead the OT service across the CHD Rehab Services, providing supervision to junior OTs and rehab assistants, and work collaboratively with care and wellbeing staff to achieve rehabilitation outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To develop and maintain Occupational Therapy (OT) services leading on planning, development, and evaluation of OT services.
  • To assess and treat own caseload of people using our services and to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To manage a varied caseload of people using our services including supporting those with Acquired Brain Injury, complex long-term disability, and general rehabilitation.
