About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Inspector to join our team at the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess safety reports, technical reports, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Investigate incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with operators to discuss key process safety topics and share best practices.
  • Coordinate regulatory oversight for assigned operators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in petrochemical, oil, and gas, and/or industrial chemical technologies in technical or regulatory positions.
  • Experience in process safety and/or control systems, as well as technical risk management processes.
