Job Opportunity: Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to fill the role of Kitchen Porter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and ready for use. They will also be responsible for storing food items safely and disposing of waste effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Clean all crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment after each use, storing everything in a tidy and safe manner.
  • Clean all fixed items of equipment, tables, worktops, and floors in the kitchens and food preparation rooms to the highest standard of hygiene.
  • Ensure all store-rooms and refrigerators are clean and tidy, enabling food items to be stored safely.
  • Empty bins regularly, keep them clean, and dispose of rubbish correctly.
  • Assist chefs with simple food preparation tasks as directed by the chef in charge.
