Job Opportunity: Compliance Officer

This is a fixed-term role, lasting six months, designed to fill a parental leave gap commencing in October 2025.

About the Role:

  • Maintain compliance with Australian Standards and regulations for classified plant, tanks, and structural assets.
  • Manage contractor performance, ensuring inspections and maintenance are completed by licensed professionals.
  • Identify gaps in inspection/maintenance records and drive timely resolution of remedial actions.
  • Develop and update defect registers, ensuring accurate tagging, reporting, and documentation in SAP.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and operational activities with a focus on compliance and safety.
  • Drive safety leadership, risk management, and continuous improvement across all work activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or mechanical trade qualification.
  • Minimum three years' experience in heavy industry, preferably fixed plant ore processing.
  • Strong knowledge of structural integrity, tanks, classified plant, and relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS2304, AS4766, API653, API650).
  • Proven experience in contractor management and familiarity with CMMS (SAP, Pronto) and scheduling systems.
  • Solid understanding of WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and mining regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills with a focus on compliance and safety.
