Apprentice Mechanical Fitter Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our team in a full-time apprenticeship based in our Maroochydore workshop.

">

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of maintenance and minor corrective works for the safe and reliable operation of plant and equipment. This will include performing tests and inspections on equipment, following workplace health and safety practices, accurately documenting work history and maintenance, and providing a high level of customer service.

You will be mentored, complete on-the-job training, and formal training to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical fitting.

About You

">

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a real interest in mechanical, metal, and fabrication work, have strong commitment to safety, good interpersonal and written communication skills, and a commitment to undertaking and completing four years of formal training.

You will also need to have Year 12 Maths preferred and some experience operating electrical/mechanical tools, as well as a C Class Driver's Licence and willingness to travel and work across the Unitywater region.
