About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to support our financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, processing of financial transactions, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare and maintain financial reports and records; support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with analysis.
  • Accounts Management – Manage and process student fee payments, refunds, and adjustments per institutional policies; assist with government reporting; collaborate with admissions, enrolment, and student services to resolve financial queries.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Compliance & Auditing – Prepare for audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain internal controls.
  • General Ledger Maintenance – Reconcile ledgers, close accounts, and process journal entries.
  • Communication & Collaboration – Coordinate with departments, provide financial information, and assist the CFO on projects.
  • Continuous Improvement – Recommend process improvements, stay updated on regulations, and pursue training.
Qualifications

This role requires a strong background in finance, preferably within Higher Education or Vocational Education. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
