Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide technical support for a wide range of systems, including business applications, internet/intranet, and web-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze, evaluate, modify, configure, test, and implement site-wide information systems
- Support of Operating Systems
- Respond to user and system problems
- Prepare application system specifications
- Identify, plan, implement, and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, or maintenance
- Provide first and second-level end-user support
- Maintain and configure virtual servers and hardware
- Resolve user hardware and software problems
- Maintain accurate inventory of all IT equipment
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Formal qualifications in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Extensive knowledge of MS Windows, VMWare, and Linux Operating Systems
- Understanding of TCP/IP and networks
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with non-technical people
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
The successful candidate will be required to work in a hot desert environment and be able to lift up to 10 kg independently.
