About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Performance Analyst to join our Strategy & Analytics team at Medibank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving a performance culture across the consumer functions of both the Medibank and ahm brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with acquisition and retention squads to deliver analytical insights and recommendations that enable timely and informed decision-making to enhance member and enterprise value.
  • Use advanced analytics techniques, systems, and software to address key questions in a timely manner by developing fact-based strategic recommendations.
  • Consider business objectives, internal data, and market trends when evaluating potential business problems or assessing the commercial viability of initiatives.
  • Enhance data management processes, tools, and capabilities by contributing to continuous improvement activities and sharing knowledge to lift skills across the team.
  • Collaborate with other team members, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to identify and translate requirements, evaluate data sources, and deliver insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Outstanding quantitative skills and structured thinking abilities.
  • Highly comfortable with business and financial concepts, with a strong understanding of profitability and growth drivers.
  • Presentation skills, with the ability to confidently structure and communicate complex information across the business.
  • Ability to translate numbers into understandable insights for stakeholders at various levels.
  • Self-starter who can effectively manage competing stakeholders, time, and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Big-picture thinking, with the ability to understand the market context and its impact on performance.
  • Analytics experience in large (ASX-listed) organizations with demonstrated ability to translate insights into recommendations.
