We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Climate Action Integration team as an Environmental Sustainability Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a student currently enrolled in an Environmental discipline to gain valuable experience and contribute to our efforts in adapting to climate change.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of climate adaptation and embedded emissions reduction projects through research and completion of identified tasks.
- Develop and deliver staff education materials and presentations to support organisation-wide implementation of climate adaptive approaches.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on issues relating to a sustainable environment, making recommendations for further work, particularly with relation to climate change adaptation.
- Knowledge, experience, and interest in environmental issues, particularly climate adaptation and sustainable procurement in relation to embedded emissions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to undertake assigned tasks to a high standard.
- Data analysis and evaluation skills.
- An understanding of sustainability and environmental issues.
- Ability to liaise and develop cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective outcomes.
