We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team based at our Kooragang Island Depot. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer plant requests from customers, manage plant movements, vehicle scheduling, and equipment maintenance within our Asset Management system.
  • Manage the logistics of all plant and equipment, including customer requests, delivery, and collection.
  • Ensure the effective maintenance of the Kooragang facility, adhering to safety, quality, and environmental controls.
  • Assist with coordinating depot operations, including asset decommissioning and disposal arrangements.
  • Collect and enter plant equipment log sheets and meter readings.
  • Work closely with Plant Superintendent and Mechanical Supervisor to ensure timely completion of tasks and availability of materials and plant.
  • Support Maintenance Supervisor in prioritizing workshop activities and allocating resources according to plant requests and open work orders.
  • Update asset locations and projected hire end dates within our Maximo Asset Management system.
  • Conduct on/off-hire inspections, complete reports, and notify projects as required.
  • Arrange cost-effective transport solutions for asset movement.
  • Efficiently address all plant requests in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Enter on and off-hire assets within the Maximo system.
  • Create work orders and purchase orders within the Maximo Asset Management System as needed.
Requirements:

To be successful in this key role, you will require:

  • A Higher School Certificate or Trade Certificate preferably in the mechanical field.
  • Three years' experience in logistics, construction, plant hire, or similar commercial environments.
  • Experience with Asset and/or inventory Management systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant administrative practices.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to Financial budgets, Asset Management systems, and Plant & Equipment Fleet maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
