Offshore Geo-Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled offshore geo-data specialist to join our team. As a key member of our marine consulting team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting high-quality offshore geo-data to provide accurate and customized advice to clients on their individual project needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced geologist or geoscientist engineer to lead technical teams related to geology or engineering geology in projects. Your day-to-day duties and focus will include:

  • Leading technical teams in projects, delegating tasks, guiding team members, and reviewing calculations and reports for accuracy;
  • Taking on the role of Project Manager for Marine Consulting Projects;
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports and proposals in a timely, organized, and accurate manner;
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the project team and the client, handling communications on technical matters;
  • Helping develop project opportunities and identifying markets;
  • Writing and publishing papers, participating in technical development in designated areas and competencies;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Extensive experience (ideally 8-10 years') as a consulting geologist or geoscientist engineer within the offshore industry;
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in geology/engineering geology/geoscience/geophysics or a related discipline;
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to perform within interdisciplinary project teams;
