We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shutdown Superintendent to join our growing shutdown team for ongoing project work at Warrikal, a proudly Western Australian, indigenous owned business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of daily operations during a Shutdown, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all works.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of shutdowns and projects.
- Participate as a safety leader by promoting a safety culture, understanding and driving adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Monitor progress and identify and mitigate potential risks to execution timelines.
- Ensure adequate scoping, resourcing, and supervision of each allocated task, such that work is completed to the required quality and standard.
- Strong people management skills, the ability to develop and mentor Supervision and execution teams.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for management review.
- Build effective working relationships with clients that leads to future opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to maximise execution efficiency, safety, and plant reliability in a cost-effective manner.
- Act as a Company representative for operational matters.
- Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation (Schedule 26)
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role working in the mining sector.
- Strong communication skills, work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
