About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our Public Law team working alongside Partner Chris Cantor in a full-time capacity.

The role involves providing advice and conducting disputes for clients in both government and private sectors.

We have a particular focus on compulsory acquisition, compensation, planning matters, land valuation, and local government rating.

This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that does quality work on high-profile projects in a multidisciplinary environment.

You will be well supported with your training and development.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Admission to practise as a legal practitioner, with at least 4 years' post-admission experience in private practice or government.
  • Exposure to or experience in compulsory acquisition/compensation, valuation, and/or planning and environment law.
  • Disputes experience at VCAT and/or the Supreme Court.
  • Strong drafting skills, excellent communication skills, and a collegiate approach.
