About the Role
The Tenements and Titles Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to tenements in NSW and Queensland. This involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with exploration and mining teams, and providing support in stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the application, renewal, and maintenance of NSW and Queensland tenements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for all tenements
- Support the monitoring of compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies related to tenements
- Coordinate with exploration and mining teams to support activities within tenement areas
- Ensure that exploration and mining activities are documented and conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor the progress of exploration and mining projects and assist in reporting on their status
- Native Title and Land Access Negotiations
- Financial Management and Treasury Support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Environmental Science, Geology, Law, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in tenement management or a related field within the mining industry
- Experience with land access and regulatory compliance for exploration and mining projects
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to mining and land management
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proficiency in using GIS software and other relevant computer applications
