Job Title: Senior Marine Ecologist

This role will involve displaying expertise in marine and freshwater ecology, including experimental design and statistical analysis. You will plan, lead, and implement estuarine, marine, and freshwater field studies, manage your own small to medium-sized projects, undertake desktop research, and ensure work output is technically high standard and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Displaying expertise in marine and freshwater ecology, including experimental design and statistical analysis
• Planning, leading, and implementing estuarine, marine, and freshwater field studies
• Managing your own small to medium-sized projects
• Undertaking desktop research
• Demonstrating a solid understanding of environmental legislation and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards, practices, environmental legislation, and approvals processes
• Ensuring work output is of a technically high standard and activities are commercially viable
• Technical report writing using conventional standards expected for scientific reporting
• Acting as a professional mentor to junior staff and assisting with their professional development
• Assisting with the preparation and processing of tender documentation
