About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Producer to join our team at The Daily Telegraph in Sydney. This is a hands-on editorial content role where you will drive engaging news content that connects with our audience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our digital editors to manage the homepage of dailytelegraph.com.au and source, curate, and rank news
  • Use your competitive nature, skill, instinct, and headline testing programs to ensure every story, image, and video has a sell and image that maximises its ability to attract eyeballs and resonate with the audience
  • Create engaging images for stories and videos using picture and image editing platforms
  • Write and curate digital newsletters that promote key new stories and drive audience engagement
  • Demonstrate excellent news judgement and an innate understanding of what readers want, as well as a sound knowledge of media and defamation law
  • Work directly with our team of news editors and reporters, as well as the social and off-platform teams

About You

  • You have at least five years' experience working in a newsroom
  • You are across what's happening in the national and international news cycle
  • You have visual storytelling familiarity, understand what works in video news, and are up to date with social video best practices
  • You are data driven and love using analytics to inform content decisions
  • You thrive in a high-paced news environment and are curious about how to find efficiencies in existing processes and systems

Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
