
Women's Health Coordinator

Job Summary:
- This role involves coordinating a shared pathway for women's business and providing culturally appropriate care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families.
Critical Success Factors:
- The ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to develop and implement culturally safe and responsive services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, community members, and other organisational staff.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate complex situations and advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' interests.
- A strong commitment to improving health equity outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and history, including comprehensive knowledge of issues and priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women's health and wellbeing.
- Apply latest evidence and high-level judgement in advising on implementing and providing culturally appropriate care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families.
- Deliver advanced level clinical services within a multidisciplinary team relevant to their respective profession.
- Contribute to professional governance activities for the multidisciplinary team in collaboration with line managers, including performance planning, cultural supervision, support, education and training.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly developed knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and history.
- Ability to apply latest evidence and high-level judgement in advising on implementing and providing culturally appropriate care pathways.
- Advanced clinical skills relevant to their respective profession.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
