Medical Leader for Patient Care Excellence

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our leadership team. This pivotal role supports the Chief Medical Officer in providing clinical leadership and oversight of the medical workforce, including ancillary services.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Chief Medical Officer in clinical leadership and oversight of the medical workforce.
- Contribute to day-to-day operational management, workforce engagement, and policy development.
- Play a key role in quality improvement, risk management, and fostering a strong culture of safety.
- Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Postgraduate medical qualifications.
- Experience working in an Australian Hospital environment in managing patients.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and organisational ability.
- Working knowledge of Medical staff EBAs.
- Superior interpersonal, consultation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Understanding of Clinical Risk Management and Clinical Governance concepts and processes.
- Previous experience in leading a medical team/department.
- Australian Fellowship of Physician Administrators (AFRACMA) or Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA).
We provide acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, community, and aged care services primarily in the Shire of Baw Baw, approximately 100 kms east of Melbourne.
