Enterprise Architect Role

At Cuscal, we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead our Architecture Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the enterprise leaders and product teams through transformation and optimisation, while supporting the formulation of business strategy, outcomes, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate alignment between business and IT, and across the democratised IT landscape.
  • Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Adapt to changing business and operating models.
  • Analyse trends and disruptions and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes.
  • Tell stories to visualise the future state and trigger long-term planning.
  • Support various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric.
  • Communicate the value of enterprise architecture, and its portfolio of services.
  • Drive the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture team services and operating model.
  • Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders to instil architectural thinking.
  • Manage the Architecture Practice and build capability.
  • Complement IT Senior Manager Architecture role such as contribute and develop content for Quarterly Business Reviews and Governance reporting.
  • Prepare and address compliance obligation, and audit reporting requirements and associated evidence.

Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills, along with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including in teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Strong consulting skills, such as in targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development.
  • Organisationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence about the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics.
  • Balances the long-term ('big picture') and short-term implications of individual decisions and organisation goals.
  • Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organisation's digital business strategies. Be a creative problem solver or facilitator to ensure there are not prolonged periods of stalemate or re-litigation of technology issues.
  • Understands and speaks the language of the business.
