Lead Football Coach - 9th Grade

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced coach to lead our football team of 9th grade students.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the sport, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and guide their players to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement game plans to ensure the team's overall performance is enhanced
  • Manage player behavior, attendance, and academic progress to ensure they meet school expectations
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent among student-athletes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and fair play
  • Maintain accurate records of player progress, games played, and results
Requirements:Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university in Florida
  • Florida Instructional Certification or an equivalent certification
Experience:
  • At least two years of documented coaching experience at the secondary level
  • Extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage large groups of students/athletes
Additional Qualifications:
  • College-level coaching may substitute for high school coaching experience
  • A valid Florida Athletic Coaching Certification or eligibility to obtain one upon offer extension
Notes:

Temporary athletic coaching certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five-year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate, you must complete sports-specific, sports medicine, and sports theory courses and receive a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
