About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hospital Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis
- Assist with stock control and maintain current scientific knowledge
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding test results and referrals
- Comply with policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting
- Ability to identify and implement quality and service improvement activities
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
