Project Commercial Lead for WA Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Commerical Project Lead to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading the commercial function of one of our exciting projects in regional WA.

The project is a large-scale infrastructure development that has recently received several awards for its delivery and community involvement. We are looking for a capable Commerical Project Lead who can manage the overall commercial and risk management of the project, working closely with the project team, project manager, and business unit commercial manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring project costs, revenues, claims, and supplier agreements are administered effectively. You will also initiate, review, analyse, and administer contract closures, maintain good working relationships with clients and subcontractors, and negotiate and manage head contracts and subcontractors for the project.

You will influence and lead others in the team to produce high-quality project outcomes, ensure delivered products comply with contract specifications, and record and report any non-conformances. Additionally, you will ensure the project complies with Georgiou's HSEQ systems, policies, standards, and procedures.

Your Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a sizeable infrastructure or civil construction and building construction business
  • Experience in delivering remote projects from either site or head office
  • Proven negotiation experience in high-value commercial contracts
  • Project financial management skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading a project commercial function with direct reports
  • Risk management skills encompassing the development of commercial and risk profiles of complex projects
  • Solid understanding of procurement management and process, and commercial acumen as it relates to client and subcontractor management, work planning and methodology, insurance risk, policies, and complex claims resolution
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in similar roles in the building and construction industry
  • Current experience working in contracts management in the civil and/or building construction industry

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
