About the Role

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for ensuring that all incidents and accidents are reported and followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk. They will also review the five-year Asset Strategy and the rolling site maintenance plan as planning inputs are conducted. Additionally, they will prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance and for shut down maintenance work, and issue a weekly rolling plan to the scheduler.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk.
  • Review the five-year Asset Strategy and the rolling site maintenance plan as planning inputs are conducted.
  • Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance and for shut down maintenance work.
  • Issue a weekly rolling plan to the scheduler.
  • Ensure that all work packs (labour, parts, tasks, costs, etc.) are uploaded and maintained in CMMS for system integrity.
  • Create and maintain work orders and requisitions (materials and services) in the CMMS.
  • Consult with Supply to expedite external parts and contractor labour suppliers, where necessary.
  • Manage the backlog and enter work orders into the rolling 12-week plan.
  • Responsible for rigorous cost management including the optimised maintenance planning, adherence to Supply policy, and follow-up on warranty claims.
  • Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions that are consistent with your contract of employment.
  • Ensure that all routine maintenance activities, and those corrective maintenance activities able to be scheduled later (non-breakdown), are loaded into a maintenance plan.
About You
  • Minimum C Class Manual Drives Licence.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate (as relevant) or Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years in the mining or heavy industry with sound working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
