Job Title: Club Development Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Club Development Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering growth in tennis participation by supporting stakeholders and affiliates in the delivery of playing opportunities.

The role involves partnering with clubs to develop and implement holistic plans that inspire, connect, and retain tennis players/consumers. This includes developing positive relationships with club and association personnel within the region to influence, adopt, and drive change.

To achieve this, you will provide tools and advice across areas such as management/governance, coaching/programs, competitions, and facility development. You will also educate and support clubs to create marketing materials and utilize digital platforms to better connect and engage with existing and potential consumers.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with clubs and coaches to promote and create sustainable, inclusive initiatives that engage diverse communities in tennis. This will involve working with the Positive Start Schools team and Coaching teams to maximize the connection between local schools and clubs, and facilitate the integration of school to club initiatives to drive the transition of youth.

About You:
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including volunteers, coaches, associations, and local government agencies.
  • You possess proven ability to influence change and drive behavior of stakeholders towards a common goal.
  • You have demonstrated understanding of sports administration, ideally through volunteer experience in club or association level community sport.
  • You can take initiative, work creatively, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • You hold a current driver's license and motor vehicle.
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
