Recovery Expert Partner Role

We are looking for a Recovery Expert Partner to join our team, providing flexibility and support to our Mental Health services.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives, by sharing your own recovery journey and expertise to inform our practices and policies.

  • Conduct regular face-to-face and phone contact with clients, promoting positive relationships and outcomes.
  • Participate in leadership groups, project development, and training of staff in recovery principles.
  • Support service delivery teams to develop knowledge and skills in recovery and person-centred care.
  • Provide lived experience expertise to inform our practices and policies, ensuring client-centric approaches.
  • Support client-led plans that are person-centred and encourage active participation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have personal experience living with mental illness or participating in recovery programs, and will possess:

  • Lived experience of their own mental illness and understanding of recovery processes.
  • Experience in a similar role providing client perspective to mental health services.
  • Certificate III level or higher qualifications in mental health, demonstrating a strong foundation in recovery principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Creative thinking to explore alternative ways to provide services, ensuring innovative solutions.
  • Computer proficiency, with the ability to manage digital tools and platforms.
  • A current and unrestricted WA driver licence, facilitating travel to clients' locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Lived experience of mental illness, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Experience in a similar role, providing client perspective to mental health services.
  • Certificate III level or higher qualifications in mental health.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • A current and unrestricted WA driver licence.
