Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Specialised Care: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality obstetric and gynaecological services, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and general gynaecology care.
  • Leadership and Supervision: The specialist will supervise and support junior medical staff, midwives, and nursing teams, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Registration and Qualifications: The successful candidate must be registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or have equivalent qualifications recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
  • Recent Clinical Experience: The specialist must have demonstrated recent clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the role delineation of the service, with substantial experience in gynaecological surgery.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
