Psychiatrist Opportunity in Outback Queensland

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team in a rural hospital in Outback Queensland.
This challenging and diverse role involves providing specialist psychiatric knowledge and skills to deliver quality mental health care to patients of the integrated Mental Health and ATODS teams, as well as the Homeless Health Outreach Team.
About the LocationThe town offers excellent schools, day care centers, and sports clubs. The region's restaurants and clubs provide a good range of food, leisure, and social activities.
With its rural Flying Doctor Service base, this location offers diverse outdoor activities and places to explore on your weekends.
About You- You must have FRANZCP, FACRRM or FRACGP + FARGP qualification.
- MBBS or equivalent registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) is required.
- Eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with AHPRA is preferred.
- Completion of training for the Mental Health Act 2016 - Authorised Doctor/Authorised Psychiatrist prior to commencement is mandatory.
- Experience in Addictions psychiatry is highly desirable.
This permanent full-time role comes with a remuneration package ranging from $265,800 to $583,039 per annum.
- Your base salary will be dependent on your experience and advanced qualifications, falling within the L13-L27 range.
- An attraction and retention incentive allowance of 35%-50% of your base annual salary will be provided.
- A regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% of your base annual salary will be included.
- An inaccessibility allowance of $34,500 per annum will be offered.
- A motor vehicle allowance will be provided.
- You will accumulate 5 weeks Annual Recreational Leave, with a 17.5% loading when taken.
- A generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75% will be made.
- A professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks per annum will be granted.
Additionally, you may be eligible for rent-free accommodation and salary packaging options. Qantas return fares discounts starting from 20% are also available.
Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme may offer up to $70,000 in incentive payments to eligible health workers who move to Queensland from interstate or international jurisdictions.
