Supportive Early Childhood Specialist

The specialist's role also involves linking educators to professional development opportunities that enhance their skills and knowledge. This enables them to stay updated on best practices and ensure that all children participate meaningfully in kindergarten programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with educators to understand their needs and develop strategies to support inclusive kindergarten programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification, with special education qualifications highly regarded.
  • Current Victorian driver's license for supporting travel across various early childhood settings.
  • Deep understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
  • Awareness of inclusion barriers in kindergarten settings, along with effective strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
