Wellness and Lifestyle Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wellness and Lifestyle Therapist to join our dedicated team at Southern Cross Care (SA, NT & VIC) Inc.
As a Wellness and Lifestyle Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality wellness and lifestyle services to our residents, empowering them to remain physically active and engaged with their loved ones and community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement wellness and lifestyle programs that align with our Better for Life model, promoting residents' physical and mental wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans that support residents' independence and self-determination.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify residents' needs and develop strategies to address lifestyle and wellness decline.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent.
- Proven experience in delivering wellness and lifestyle programs for older adults, with a focus on promoting physical and mental wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Sound problem-solving skills, particularly when balancing residents' desire for independence with potential risks and duty of care.
- Good understanding of dementia care principles and the ability to support residents with complex needs.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Google Suite and in-house databases.
