Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to oversee our end-to-end procurement processes. This is a key role that requires building relationships with suppliers both locally and internationally, finding the best deals, and maintaining a smooth supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle procurement processes from start to finish
  • Negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms
  • Manage overseas vendor relationships, particularly in Asia
  • Process and track international orders from placement through to delivery
  • Handle customs documentation and ensure compliance with import regulations
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies
  • Process and reconcile international invoices and payment terms
  • Track and analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery schedules, and inventory levels
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential supply chain risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and international trade requirements
  • Process purchase orders and manage supplier contracts
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and timelines

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Experience with international importing, preferably with Asian suppliers
  • Understanding of international shipping terms, customs procedures, and import regulations
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management
  • Experience with procurement software such as Excel and ERP systems
  • Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • CIPS certification is highly regarded but not essential
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with international trade documentation is a plus
