Comprehensive Mental Health Support Specialist

The comprehensive mental health support specialist will collaborate with patients and their families to deliver individualized bio-psycho-social clinical assessments, interventions, and care that are grounded in evidence-based practices.

The Intensive Outreach Team is dedicated to enhancing the recovery of adult clients aged 18 - 64 with severe mental illness. The team's objective is to facilitate optimal functioning for individuals by providing tailored support and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation services to healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, identify patient and family needs, and develop referral options.
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care as the primary treating clinician within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Craft and implement Recovery and Wellness Plans that target biological, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualification in a health-related discipline (psychology, nursing, social work, or occupational therapy).
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of contemporary evidence-based treatments and best practices within a clinical, social, and political healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective working relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and service providers.
