Leading Sleep Researcher

About Our Sleep Service
Our service is part of a well-established and growing medical specialist group. We provide cardiac, vascular diagnostic imaging, clinical services, sleep and respiratory services from 7 clinics in the Perth Region and 2 clinics in Melbourne.
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as casual Sleep Scientists working from our inpatient Perth-based Sleep Laboratories, as well performing home based sleep study set-ups from our outpatient clinics.
This role requires our Scientists to:
- Perform set up for in-lab sleep study patients including the application of electrodes and sensors to the patient.
- Set up patients for home-based sleep studies in our outpatient clinics.
- Interact with patients to explain testing and treatment procedures and ensure all relevant patient data is recorded accurately and comprehensively.
- Overnight monitoring of signals and ensuring the well-being of the patients.
- Scoring and analysis of polysomnographs, helping prepare provisional reports for our sleep physicians.
- Provide training and support for our other sleep technologists.
A degree in health sciences (or related) is required for this role. Ongoing training and support will be provided.
Our sleep labs operate seven nights a week; with outpatient evening shifts Monday to Friday creating significant flexibility and availability of shifts for the successful candidate(s).
