About the Role:

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will spearhead the strategic expansion of cutting-edge automation technologies across our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive the enhancement of our automation infrastructure, optimising production processes to elevate efficiency, safety, and quality standards. Your leadership will play a key role in transforming our facility into a benchmark of innovation and operational excellence, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the detailed design and implementation of advanced machinery, robotics, and control systems to assess and develop critical project concepts aligned with business needs.
  • Lead the design and scoping of Automation Systems, ensuring robust security, network topology, implementation strategies, and seamless application and data management; collaborate with IT and project teams.
  • Spearhead automation initiatives by working closely with cross-functional teams across maintenance, operations, quality, and safety to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Oversee the testing, installation, and commissioning of devices, machines, and control systems as a key technical resource, ensuring successful integration and functionality.
  • Facilitate change management processes, providing support to both operational and technical teams during transitions and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive practical engineering knowledge across Automation, Electrical, and Mechanical fields.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Automation technology and applications.
  • Proven experience as a Project Integrator and leader of automation project teams.
  • Strong team collaboration skills with a desire to mentor and work with others.
  • Proficiency in or willingness to further develop expertise in Vision, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), Robotics, Wonderware/Citect, or similar systems.
