Electoral Officer Roles

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to work as Electoral Officers in Western Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the electoral process and make a difference in our community.
Job Description:- Issuing Officer: Issues ballot papers to electors on polling day, rotates as a ballot box guard and queue controller.
- Student Electoral Officer: Assists in polling place duties performed by Officers, limited hours.
- Voter Information Officer: Engaged centrally through the Electoral Ambassador program, may be assigned to polling places with high concentrations of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) or indigenous electors.
- General Assistant: Assists with the setup of a polling place on the night before polling, assists with the count and pack up.
- Ballot Box Guard: Ensures the correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes, rotates as an issuing officer and queue controller.
- Queue Controller: Manages the queue into the polling place and directs electors as needed, rotates as an issuing officer and ballot box guard.
These roles require flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:- To assist in the delivery of the electoral process.
- To provide excellent customer service to electors.
- To maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
The successful candidates will have strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

We offer a competitive salary for these roles.
The estimated salary range for this role is $25-$35 per hour, depending on the level of experience and qualifications.
