Freelance Language Interpreter

We are currently seeking a skilled language interpreter to work within various settings, including the NHS, local authorities, police, probation and other public and private organisations.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for interpreting content in the original 'source' language and reproducing it into the 'target' language with 100% accuracy. You will interpret for individuals using legal, health and local government services, ensure the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence and conference, and provide consecutive and public service interpreting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Being fluent in English and another language
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health and local government services
- Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements include:
- Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
