Infrastructure Operations Specialist

Job Overview:

The Infrastructure Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter. This individual must ensure peak efficiency and compliance with infrastructure operations standardization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish strong working relationships with customers to effectively manage their needs and expectations.
  2. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  3. Manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines when necessary.
  4. Identify single points of failure at regional datacenter locations, coordinating CE audits and compliance verifications as needed.
  5. Promote a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of datacenter activities.
  6. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to drive energy efficiency projects.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 1+ year(s) industry experience OR 2+ years industry experience with college coursework.
  • Ability to meet security screening requirements, including citizenship verification and possibly NV1/2 clearance assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or working in physical IT infrastructures.
  • Technical College degree in relevant fields.
  • Applicable certifications such as ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
  • Experience with building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
  • Project management experience or training.
