The position of Family Lawyer is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about family law to contribute to a specialist family law firm.
This role involves providing expert advice to clients in all areas of family law, taking on key responsibilities including:
Key Responsibilities- Delivering high-quality verbal and written advice to clients in all aspects of family law
- Assisting clients with matters related to family violence intervention orders and drafting basic wills
- Proactive communication with clients to ensure their needs are met
- Preparing accurate court documents in a timely manner and representing clients in court where required
- Effectively briefing Counsel and appearing at court events
- Participating in mediations and upholding the highest standards of professionalism
- Maintaining professional accreditation and records
- Upholding the values of the organization and working collaboratively with the team
- A minimum 3-4 years post-admission experience in family law; accredited family law specialists are encouraged to apply
- Admittance to practice law in Australia (including Victoria)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws)
- Passion for family law and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Experience managing competing priorities and making sound decisions under pressure
- Positive culture contribution in a team environment
- A fast-paced and supportive team environment that fosters open communication and collaboration
